Frequently Asked Questions & Policies
What shipping methods are available?
For Canadian Orders -
Flat rate shipping is $13.99. All order over $249 will ship free of charge. Orders will be shipped with a carrier of my choice, based on your location. Primarily I use Purolator and UPS. Canada Post will be used when courier service is not available to your shipping address.
$7.50 lettermail shipping is available for single clothing items and for accessories. I will vacuum seal the clothing to make it fit Canada Post dimensions. This shipping option is at your own risk, with slower delivery standards and no insurance available. With current postage delays, there are no guarantees how quickly you will receive your order.
All orders $249 and over qualify for free shipping.
How long will my order take to be processed?
For in stock items, it is my goal to have all orders shipped within 3 to 5 business days of placing your order. During high volume order periods, I will let you know if these timelines will be different.
For any pre-ordered items, please check the item listings carefully for details and timelines.

Where are your items made?
All Wheat and Wildflower Handmade items are made with love and care by hand by Janine. Each garment is sewn in her home-based sewing studio located near Arnes, Manitoba, a few miles off the shores of Lake Winnipeg, about 1 hour north of Winnipeg. The studio and home are smoke free, but home to 2 cats, 2 dogs (and 3 kids!).
Where are fabrics sourced?
I am proud to say the majority of my fabrics and supplies are purchased from Canadian shops. I feel it is important to support our Canadian economy. With very few fabric mills in Canada, my suppliers import fabrics from a variety of countries. Where possible, I choose fabrics that are produced ethically and many have an Oeko-Tex rating.
How should I care for my garment?
All fabrics are prepared prior to sewing. Fabrics are washed using a scent-free detergent and dried on medium heat prior to sewing to help prevent shrinkage and to remove any residues left from fabric production.
I encourage you to wash your Wheat and Wildflower Handmade garments on gentle and to lay items flat or hang to dry. This will prolong the life of your garments.
How do Wheat and Wildflower garments fit?
All garments fit true to measurements. Please refer to our size charts included with the product descriptions on our website. If you have any questions regarding sizing, please feel free to Contact Us for help.
Do you accept custom orders?
At this time, I am unable to accept any custom orders. If you see an item you love sold out in a size you need, please reach out to me and I am happy to let you know if there are plans to restock that item & size.
