One of my favourite things about running a small business is connecting with other makers who share similar values. Today, I'd love to introduce you to my friend Jen, the owner and maker behind Bear & Roo.
I have followed along with Jen since she started her shop and been inspired by her focus to grow her business and stay true to creating high quality, Made in Canada clothing.
Jen is a mom of three and runs her handmade clothing business from her home studio in rural Saskatchewan, not far from where I grew up. Like many women, she struggled to find clothing that truly fit her body and her lifestyle. Instead of settling, she decided to create it herself.
What started as a children's clothing business in 2015 has grown into a thriving brand creating activewear and casual wear specifically for women who want comfortable, functional clothing that actually fits.
Every piece is sewn by Jen and made to order. Rather than trying to fit yourself into standard sizing, Bear & Roo offers options for inseams, waistbands, fabrics, pockets, and styles, allowing you to choose pieces that work for your body and your life. Sizes range from XS to 3XL.
