A collaboration rooted in farm life, friendship, and clothing that grows
Some collaborations come together because they make sense, and others feel like they were always meant to happen.
This one is the second kind.
Over the last year, I have released small batch sweaters featuring appliqué artwork stitched onto my grow with me styles. These pieces always feel a little more personal. They carry more story, more connection, and more intention than something created on my own.

Where this collaboration begins
Taylor, the artist behind TLC Pasture Pieces, creates textile appliqué art inspired by real animals and life on the farm. Her work reflects the kind of upbringing many of us on the prairies understand. Early mornings, livestock to care for, and a connection to animals that becomes part of who you are.
Our paths crossed in a few different ways over the years. Taylor has purchased clothing for her kids from me, my family has bought bulls from her family, and we have connected through our kids in 4-H, cattle sales, and market events. Over time, that connection grew through a shared appreciation for handmade work and the life that surrounds it.

When you see her appliqué pieces, you can feel that they come from something real. These are not just designs. They are shaped by experience, translated into fabric with care.

From appliqué art to wearable pieces
Taylor creates each appliqué by layering fabric and stitching each detail by hand. The edges are left raw, allowing them to soften and fray over time, adding to the character of each piece.

On their own, they are art.
Together, we have taken that art and sewn it into something meant to be worn and lived in.
Each appliqué is added to one of my grow with me lounge sweaters, designed with extra length and long cuffs that start folded and unfold as your child grows. This time, we created three silhouettes inspired by farm life. The original beloved heifers are returning, but alongside chickens and tractors. Each silhouette is rooted in the same prairie lifestyle we both know and love.

If you’re curious to see the different designs and silhouettes, you can take a look through them on my website.
Why this collaboration matters
Children outgrow clothing quickly. Often before it has really had a chance to be loved.
At the same time, handmade art carries so much intention.
This collaboration brings those two things together.
Instead of something that is worn for a single season, these pieces stay longer. The fit changes as your child grows. The cuffs unfold. The fabric softens. The appliqué edges gently fray and settle into the garment.

It becomes something familiar. Something remembered.
Canadian made, one of a kind
Every part of this collaboration is made in Canada, in small batches, with care.
Each appliqué is slightly different, shaped by hand and fabric placement, making every sweater unique. They are not meant to be identical. They are meant to be worn, loved, and lived in.

A piece that grows with them
At the heart of everything I create is the idea that children’s clothing can last longer.
These sweaters begin with room to grow and move through multiple sizes over time. Adding appliqué artwork means the art stays with them too, through more days, more memories, and more moments.

A small batch, made with intention
These pieces are limited by the time and care it takes to create them.
They are not rushed.
They are made to be chosen thoughtfully, worn often, and remembered long after they are outgrown.
